Margarida Diogo Barbosa
Branding + blog design | Client: Margarida Diogo Barbosa
After the briefing I approached this project with a minimalist mindset, where line, form and colour had to exist with a purpose and meaning.
Both line and form were built in order to highlight the word Diogo that represents Margarida's Ribatejo (Portuguese region) roots over which her personality was built on. Due to its importance, that word ended up being the brand's symbol, working simultaneously as a subversion of expectation, since Diogo is typically a male name. A round, condensed shape, besides allowing to use less space, helps transmit a feeling of positivity and energy that defines who Margarida is. The colour purple here represents spirituality, wisdom, pride and independence.
